Gift exchange gifts due Tuesday, December 22nd.

This week in first grade:

Reading: We read The Lady With the Alligator Purse. We introduced Iggy the Inferring Iguana. Iggy reminds us to make predictions about what we think is going to happen in the story. This is a great skill to practice with your child.

Math: This week we introduced telling time to the quarter hour. We like to think of the clock as a personal pan pizza cut into 4 pieces. This helps visualize the quarter hours. We also finished up our last addition fact cards.

Religion: We had spirit groups this week. Our virtue for December is generosity. Our saint is St. Nicholas.

Social Studies: We are learning about Christmas celebrations around the world.
